America ! THE challenge !
Finding a suitable venue turned out to be a long quest. Finally we made a choice for Philadelphia which had among others the advantage of being close to New York. In that adaptation, the blond Mary has become a « Jersey Girl » which made totally sense locally and was very much appreciated by the audience.
After Italy, we discover the american way of working, completely at the opposite : everything is prepared and planned in writing, the photographic poses that the actors will strike are fully described and illustrated by sketches on the contract with the photographer. Everybody is « pro » whatever his or her duty may be. A healthy strictness exercise for us since it compelled us to put in writing all the aspects of a local adaptation, artistic, marketing and technical guidelines.
After Philadelphia our ambition is to confront the Big Apple and we are working on it.
